T-skjorte

I've probably mentioned before, that I have a thing (totally love) for white t-shirts. So today I had plenty of time to print and contribute with a new white tee for my wardrobe. I needed to do some analog action to diverse a bit from all computer watching hours. Anyways, here is the result:

After a couple of hours with screen-printing,  dirty hands and headache from all the chemicals, I got reminded why I usually want to work digitally. :)

Happy Halloween.

I am out.

Brainstormin’ + more

So the Concept and development module has been going on for a couple of days now. My group has already managed to get more then 50 unique digital business ideas, but we are not settled yet. What do you think about my artwork done with a bunch of post-its with ideas.

This is from yesterday's intensive class meeting.

And of course (seff) the killer view that I've mention earlier.

This is a part of my group. We are planning to continue our brainstorming at the Hypermansion with a couple of beers tonight.

Have a nice evening.

Hello.

The intensive experience technology module is over and we've been introduced to a new module - Concept and development. The main assignment is to pick a concept, develop it and present it to a bunch of investors to see if it´s profitable.
In order to do that, we have to come up with 50 different and innovative concepts until Friday.
We've also been divided into new groups, and we have our module at the 12th floor in the old Ericsson building with a killing panorama view.

Today feels so uninspiring though, a bigger share of the class is not here and for some reason this autumn weather is just too depressing. We have a lecture later on this day. Hope it will get me more motivated in this whole business thing.

This photo is taken last Friday evening right after the exhibition.

That's all.

Finally. My contribution to the Nobody Hole contest that I have been talking so much about, is finally done and submitted. The brief was to visualize a soundtrack. And here is my version:

Exhibition days

The frightful Friday is here and our Experience Technology exhibition starts in a couple of hours. Karlskrona students has arrived in the beginning of the week, all installations are done, everything looks stunning and I am looking forward to see all the guests tonight.
One cool thing is that this whole exhibition is going to London later on, I am really hyped up about that.

That's my project group, Erik, Josefine, Mark and me. The reason that I have applied shutteshades is that I can't stand the camera flash lights, I always turn out looking as a wacko.

Here is Marc and Erik, they are showing off our game for the co-workers at Hyper Island.

And here is my personal favorite. Ikonicon. An RFID-based game that is just too cool.

An elevator, one Jogge and a bunch of hyper folks.

My "Halloweenish" contest animation is about 70% complete, but fortunately the deadline has been moved forward a month, so that's good.

See you around.

/Greg.

Sunday

I have been very productive this weekend, actually. I still haven't lost hope in making my submission to this contest I mentioned earlier. So I have hooked up an old PC at home as my rendering slave so I can work while other stuff is rendering in an another room and I have basically been animating and modeling all kinds of things to my movie the whole day. Besides that, I have pimped out my table drawers a la kinder garden style, now I feel like am in a creative environment :) .

And this is my partner in crime - Molly. She's been hanging around with me the whole day too.
I should be getting back to work in order to finish the whole project until Friday.

Cheers and good night.

Printmania

Yepp, that is literally what has been going on at my place the whole evening / night - screenprinting. One of many responsibilities as a designer in my group is to brand our concept in Experience Technology. So I've printed t-shirts for our crew and a bunch of other different mini-posters. The whole process took a lot more time then I estimated, but the payoff is the variety of different things with the kick ass "In your face" logo on.

The general status on our project is good, we've recruited some beta-players, who tested our prototype game and gave us a lot of good feedback. I even took the opportunity to film the players in action and Ina helped me out to shoot the players on photo in order to fill out our commercial for the game (super effective, I know :) ). Thanks Ina. And a thanks to all the test players.

It's about 4 hours left until I have to go to school, so I should really get some sleep.

Sweet dreams.

Hello

My Monday has been a long and annoying day. Usually I would blame it on the lack of coffee, but I had about 6-7 cups and I still felt sleepy.
The "In your face" project is taking slow steps forward. I've started doing some posters for the exhibition and tomorrow I will start on a motion ad that will promote our concept, I look forward to it.

Sleep time now.

In the mean time, check out a couple of photos from Friday's Hyper Mansion party.

Weekend

The week is basically over in a couple of minutes. The Experience Technology project has dominated this week. My group has accomplished a lot with our Wiimote concept, as I mentioned before. We had a process follow up on Friday which I found very useful for me. I had some stuff on my mind that I could release and hopefully improve our group work flow. Later same day, a bunch of guys from my class had a moving party at a house called the "Hyper mansion" and boy was that a mansion. The party was fun, I got an opportunity to play around with a fisheye lens the whole evening, I loved it so much that it ended up with me buying a wide angle lens on my own, today :) .
Otherwise I've spent the whole weekend with my buddy Sam working on a pitch for a larger company. I attach a screenshot so you can follow my progress.

Best regards,
Mr. GregMack

Anger

I can barelly find any words to describe my anger.

As I mentioned before, I am producing a 3D animation for a contest. My school schedule is crazy busy so I am doing this on late nights when I have some left over "night oil". I have so far completed the whole car with interior and a character sitting inside of it. I am currently working on a MacBook Pro using bootcamp Windows for 3D studio Max. Everything has been going quite fine until 15 minutes ago. I was just about to start animating my first shot and the stupid windows crashed, everything stopped working and after a restart of the system I get this message when I open my 3D file and after that the whole program shuts down.

The same thing happens if I try reopening it again. And the worst of 'em all, that message appears on all of my 10 backup files where my character is built inside. Can you believe it?
That's why I hate Windows and all what comes with it. There is one way to get it back, but it won't be in the same way as I left it and with a deadline on 24th of October I will never get it done in time, considering that I am at school all the time doing another project.
I am dumb for not switching over to Maya on mac in time. Should have done it a while back ago and then I wouldn't be sitting here and getting pissed.
Ironically, I was listening to my iPod in shuffle mode when I was working and guess what song started playing when all my work got corrupted - "Shit can happen" by D12. You got to be kidding me.
That's pretty much it, I will try to get the animation done anyways, but we'll see if I'll do it in time for the contest.

Good night,
Mad Greg.
